Pretty chutes The spinnakers are pretty but are difficult to handle and require a certain level of expertise. Mistakes can ruin not only a race but also the sails.

Colorful sails Many of the spinnakers are brightly colored and sport pretty designs. It also makes them easy to identify from a distance.

What? El Ocaso passed through our finish line, and this crewmember jokingly signals "Why didn't you blow the whistle" as they passed.

Rail meat on Tonnerre The crew is on the rail to provide weight on the windward side of the boat and decrease heel - thus increase speed. Every pound counts (which means that I might make a good hull-sitter.

True heeling True passes our committee boat at speed. The cockpit area is quite open and free of obstructions, but I can't see where they would put up the bimini.

Uncanny resemblances The three waving members of Monster Project had an uncanny resemblance to Stephen, Tayne and Michaela from Katz. Later I found out that they had been taken on as crew for the day!
