Zanshin has an AIS Transceiver aboard and I use it all the time when underway. When I'm in range of a shore-based station which is connected to the internet, one can use one of the AIS tracking sites, in this case MarineTraffic, to see Zanshin's last reported location. As this is a volunteer and internet-based system, it only works in coastal areas and it is not always accurate or timely but is fun to use to track the boat.
Click here if Zanshin's AIS is turned off and not on the map, it will show the last known location.
