After a great night's sleep at the Château Relaxeau I went upstairs to say hello to Mal and he had the coffee brewing already, knowing what a caffeine addict I was. We chatted for a long time but soon after the rental car arrived I departed for distant Nanny Cay and my reunion with ”Zanshin”.
The boat was tucked away in the far corner on the old tennis court and once I opened up the hatch to look inside I was more than a little dismayed to immediately see sign of mice or rats! I'd removed everything edible aboard, including all the spices and vacuum-sealed beans; so I can't figure out what had led them aboard to stay for several days. They had chewed through a number of visible items, and I was immediately worried that they might have gnawed their way through important (and inaccessible) items such as electrical lines. I knew that I'd have to open up every single cubic foot inside the boat and explore. Ahh well, the joys of boat ownership.
