While it is easy to remain in the same place, today was time to move on. I dinghied ashore to clear out of Antigua at the English Harbour offices and then stocked up on potatoes at the Falmouth Harbour grocerette before departing my comfortable mooring and heading out to sea. My destination, Green Island, was several tacks upwind away but it was a fun sail in spirited conditions and I was surprised to see a couple of open moorings available when I turned the corner around Green Island. My first goal was close inshore to anchor, but unfortunately two boats had gotten those prime spots and I ended up taking a mooring just upwind of the shallow reef. I hadn't set up a mooring line or gotten out my boat hook but managed to get them deployed just in time, and in the end I was fortunate enough to grab the mooring ball the first time around and was soon enjoying the beautiful scenery at the Green Island anchorage, which has become on of my favorites.
I was also surprised to see that I had a viable internet connection and soon had booked my class with 40knots Windsurfing for the next morning. I'd always wanted to try windsurfing or kite surfing and this was an opportunity that I wasn't going to miss as the weather prognosis was pretty good for tomorrow.

Immigration Custom & Excise While the rest of the English Harbour facilities house a museum, this sign points to a real office. I wonder how many visitors mistake it for part of the museum?
