Today marked the final day of racing for the 2016 Heineken Regatta. Our committee boat wasn't needed for starts or finishes so we were assigned different tasks; my boat was reallocated to being a media boat with another driver, so I joined Milos on his powerboat as a backup pin and finish boat. We didn't do much apart from zip around the fleets while avoiding the racers. We did reset the mark for one of the classes and check out the finish line for another but all in all I had plenty of opportunity to whip out the camera and take some shots, but I was tired from the night before and didn't catch any particularly great shots. We returned to lagoon quite early and put the boat to rest. After that I hung around the yacht club for a bit and returned to my boat to do some laundry and clean up for the final night of prize giving and partying.

Kevlar sails abound The competitive classes all have their specialized racing sails. Unlike sails for cruising and bareboats which need to be resilient and long-lasting, these are anything but.

Finish boat The pin end of the finish line is sometimes favored, so this boat and the crew aboard have an important task
