I was close to a mutiny aboard due to the beer supplies having run out several days before and opted to leave the anchorage for one with a store in range, so I departed the sheltered waters of Green Island for Falmouth Harbour and had a 2 hour sail from anchor to anchor, with a big 2 meter swell making the trip both rolly and interesting to watch as the breakers slammed against the cliffs. I anchored off Pigeon Beach and dinghied in to the store at the AYC docks, getting a case of Presidente (over 90EC or US$30!) and some other sundry items such as eggs, more milk and some bread. I was soon back aboard the boat and realized that I was rolling around quite a bit in the swell making it into the harbour and quickly decided that I wanted a nicer anchorage so weighed anchor and sailed around Antigua to Deep Bay. The winds are pretty strong and supposed to get stronger over the next couple of days, but this anchorage is well protected from any residual swell.
I see a couple of inches of the broken mast of the wreck in the middle of the anchorage protruding from the waters and will either snorkel or dive it tomorrow. It is in 20 feet of water, so snorkeling is probably sufficient but I'd like to see if I can get some good pictures and then use the remaining air left in the tank to clean the bottom of my hull, which has once again become a marine biotope despite the antifouling paint that was applied at the beginning of the season.

Beer shortage problems solved The boat had run out of beer days before, so this emergency run to English Harbour's liquor store was a necessary detour.

Precarious perch This intrepid visitor on the bow of the dinghy has a good sense of balance since the dinghy is bouncing around all over the place and the bird refuses to be shaken off.
