Today was the final race day and Paul held the single race to a relatively short course so that everyone could return in a timely manner, since there were to be two prize givings today. The first was for the daily scores, but then the final party and overall prize giving ceremony was to be held in Nelson's Dockyard after that.
Our team had another fine day, seasoned professionals that we'd now become, and our half-rations of Wadadli had been augmented by Clare using Carib beers so we were once again happy after the final finisher crossed the line.
After the first prize giving I went back to the boat, showered and shaved, and then ended up at the Loose Mongoose for libations and had dinner there as well. The night ended up being a short one as I was more tired than I'd expected and I only barely got the prize giving and party before retiring back to the boat for a long sleep. The sleep was interrupted several times by load music ashore, but the white noise of the fan made it bearable.
