The night had been very calm and with nary a wave and just enough breeze to cool the boat I slept perfectly. I awoke early and made breakfast and edited the pictures from the day before and later spoke with Katz and instead of taking a hike on Île Fourchue we proceeded to Gustavia on St. Barths to clear in. While they motored and went further offshore in the hopes of catching fish, I put up reefed sails in mild winds to sail the short distance, keeping my speed down so that we arrived at about the same time. Upon anchoring outside Gustavia we all dinghied in together and quickly completed the clearance formalities but all of us had not known (or forgotten) that absolutely everything in France is closed on Sundays, so I couldn't purchase a baguette or anything fresh for the boat. We walked up the hill and watched the spectacle of landings and takeoffs at the airport for a while and then walked down the other side back to our dinghy and the boats. I once again sailed most of the way to Anse Colombier, which was packed as I'd never seen it before and both of us anchored relatively far off the shore and I was feeling a bit of a north swell, but not enough to make life aboard uncomfortable.
I started sharpening my shaving razors but got sidetracked and will have to finish that job the next day; I also started on a very dull knife from Katz using the 1000 grit stone and soon realized that I'd taken on a big task and would need to use a lower grit first to shape the edge before proceeding to sharpening.

Gustavia exterior anchorage Zanshin is in there, too - in the distance.
