I woke up with the sun again, I don't know why I got up so early - no wakes had gone through yet and the wind and waves had calmed to make the boat very stable and calm. But get up I did and checked my e-mails while drinking the first coffee of the day. I checked the weather sites and realized that the passage weather for St. Martin wasn't going to get much better. The wind was going to come at 10-12 knots from ESE (bad direction, good speed) and the waves were going to settle into a 1.5m swell at 12 seconds so I got the anchor up, motored to Gun Creek, completed my clearance formalities and then motored back to the Leverick anchorage. This time I found the 15 foot deep sand bank and anchored on that, it is pretty far upwind of the main anchorage so getting out tonight at midnight should be a simple affair unless someone decides to anchor in front of me during the afternoon.

Charterers crusing around I don't know what this crew and catamaran were doing, but they were all in vests and motored around the anchorage for almost 2 hours - perhaps longer, but I weighed anchor and left while they were still buzzing around. I am sure that they weren't waiting for dock space or the fuel dock since that was open much of the time. I don't understand why the didn't just grab a mooring if they were waiting for something.

Drying the dinghy The dinghy is emptied out and partially lifted onto the swim platform to let the bottom dry out and hopefully kill off some of the growth.
