Today is departure day for Agathe and Desi; they spent some time in the morning after a nice breakfast in the cockpit packing their cases. I was a bit disappointed that all the Ma Dou Dou rum they'd acquired fit into their baggage as I'd hoped I could keep it, but Desi was kind enough to leave her little travelling iron aboard (still unused in the original packaging). I went ashore to organize a rental car through Octopus Diving and somehow the whole morning was taken up with tasks and our departure time quickly approached.
The rental car was fully loaded and we departed for Marigot, where we still had to clear into St. Martin after our departure from St. Barths and after that formality was taken care of we drove to the airport via the French bridge side and also got a quick peek at Sunset Beach and I stated that I was going to capture their takeoff later in the afternoon. After they'd checked in and we'd said our goodbyes I drove to the beach, found a parking spot right in front of the Sunset Beach Bar and had one or two cold Caribs while waiting for their plane to depart. I took a video of the takeoff from the side of the road but the jet blast was so strong that it knocked me onto the beach and by the time I'd recovered and pointed the camera at the flight it had already taken off.
Subsequently I went to Barnacle's for a hamburger dinner and then returned to the quiet and lonely boat in Grand Case.

Fender Girls! Since all the Megayachts that go through the Simpson Bay Lagoon bridge sported what we called "Fender Boys", we decided that Zanshin deserved some Fender Girls!
