While I intended to make the best of one of my last days on St. Martin, I found myself with little accomplished at the end of the day and realized that I still felt good. After the radio network at 07:30 I did some re-arranging and inventory and then waited for the showers to pass by before heading to the French side in order to drop off laundry and go to La Sucrière for some breakfast. Rob joined me and after I locked my dinghy at the French marina Royale we had a coffee and croissant and took care of our internet needs. After close to two hours we returned and I was somewhat dismayed to see that the space where my dinghy had been was empty and there was no sign of it at the dinghy dock.

While it is very unlikely that a dinghy gets stolen during the daylight hours it was gone, along with the chain and lock. We headed over to the Capitainerie to report the theft and then Rob wanted to take me around the area to see if we could find who'd absconded with my pride and joy and, within a minute, we had found it nestled amongst some other dinghies and boats. The lock was still attached to the end of the chain, but just around the eye of the wire and not to itself; it would seem that I hadn't correctly locked the dinghy and the wind and waves had let it go on wanderings.

The rest of the day was spent doing inventory and putting the contents into the Peli cases. I did find some things that I hadn't remembered having on board. The Quantum sail makers finished the blue covers for the two wheels, chart plotter pod and my four winches so I'll have to head ashore on Saturday in order to pay for the items.
