The second day of sailing was a day of motoring, with a mere 4 knots of wind from directly aft of our course. We were dogged by a beautiful yacht “Bequia” all day, who had sails up but must have been motoring as well. The trip was uneventful and the entry from the Chesapeake into the Norfolk marina was a very long one - about 18 miles or so! The view of warships at the docks was impressive, with the first two vessels being the aircraft carriers Enterprise and Dwight D. Eisenhower.
